#TheLustyView: Sex in the Future. What Could be Next?

What epochal developments can we expect to see when it comes to sex and sexual relationships? In twenty, fifty, a hundred or more years? Sex has been around for a long time, technology hasn’t. Look how quickly the age of computers has advanced since the seventies and eighties. Sex toys too have evolved over the last fifty years. What will be available to entice and enhance our sex lives in the future?

The way we look at sex changes and adapts to culture and religious norms, health and external issues like war and famine. Even during the worst of times, people manage to find time for sex and procreate.

Sex toys and contraception have been around for a long time too and continue these gadgets get more creative on how to get people off. Here’s one sex toys site to check out:
Looking for something along the lines of heavy metal and bondage?

Sex on the Internet
The internet has exploded with sex-related sites: Social networks for alternative lifestyles, porn sites, sex search engines (type ‘sex search engines’ in and see what I mean), XXX versions of YouTube (RedTube for one), Skype sex, sexting, etc.

So what will they come up with in the future?
Robotic are used in the medical and technical fields and may be used as caretakers in the future. Anyone see the film Cherry 2000? In a dystopian world, a man is searching for the perfect woman who is a sex automaton, or is she the perfect woman? I’ve been a SciFi fan since I was a kid, loved the old sci fi flicks, even the B movies. In this film, cities have meet-and-fuck bars where couples had to sign a tedious contracts stipulating the details of the type of sexual encounter they’d experience. Rather cold.

At a dystopian, partly buried Las Vegas in the future, the characters of the story search the remains of a stockpile of sex bots—beautiful women, all body and no brains—looking for the perfect model #. Hundreds of female automatons and not one hunky guy-bot? Where were the guys??? If you want to know how the story ends, check out Netflix.

Forecasts are predictions and not absolutes. More like educated guesses, some based on what someone is working on now.

Vibrators have gotten fancier. Bigger, smaller, add attachments for a variety of sensations, different speeds and rhythms, different materials and textures.

My Sex Prediction for the Future

Technical gadgets will truly become creative and technical when it comes to sex toys. But not the usual super-duper vibrator that stimulates the genitals. The sex toy of the future will be placed on the head (not head of the penis). Electronic impulses will trigger and target specific brainwave activity at the ideal pleasure center in the brain. Like an ON switch for the most intense orgasm for men or women. Gives a new meaning to fuck your brains out. You or your partner controls the intensity or duration. Hmmm. Could put a certain blue pill out of biz. Maybe I’ll turn my invention into a story someday.

SUMMER SINS #BDSM When You Thought It Couldn't Get Any Hotter

SUMMER SINS, new BDSM erotica from Ellora's Cave to be released November 15, 2013.

The Lusty View will post my Predictions of Sex in the Future in the column for next week, but I had to share exciting news of my new BDSM book coming to Ellora's Cave on November 15, 2013. SUMMER SINS is my hottest BDSM story yet. Check out the blurb and excerpt below.
Summer Sins -Coming 11.15.13

BLURB: Master Adrian Cayne knows how to bring exquisite pain or pleasure to a woman’s body. Before he’ll take on an inexperienced submissive, he expects her to pass a series of seductive tests of increasing intensity to see if she’s receptive to his unique and dark skills. Under his command and relentless determination, she’ll relinquish control to him.

Emma is known to thoroughly research her articles for the tabloid magazine Scandal. Her latest assignment to write about Dark Odyssey, a new BDSM club, is her chance to indulge in her taboo desires for the sex she craves as a submissive. With her job and future career on the line, she has to write a lurid, gossip story. But her heart isn’t in it because she falling for Adrian.

Raw and hot passion draws them past guarded limits, but when secrets are revealed, trust will be the final test for true love.

When Adrian walked into the foyer he spotted Cynthia and the redhead standing next to her. His body immediately responded with a tug in the gut and a tightening in his groin. She was a tad shorter than Cynthia, which would put her at about five–seven. The green dress molded to her curvy body, athletic but not skinny. Fair skin gleamed with a natural glow. He lived in Florida but he was as pale as some of the snowbirds. Carter was right, he worked too damn much.
As if she sensed his perusal, she looked his way and made eye contact. Confident, intelligent eyes, but slightly vulnerable. As a sub, she’d be perfect if that was her inclination. He didn’t like subs who had no mind of their own. They were overly dependent, needy. Too bad she had no experience.
“Hey, Emma.” Carter walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “Meet our friend, Adrian Cayne.”
They shook hands and exchanged greetings. For a newbie she didn’t seem that nervous or managed to cover it up well.
“Emma is a caretaker at an animal shelter,” Carter said. “And Adrian’s a doctor.”
     “What specialty?” Emma asked.
“Neurosurgery,” Adrian said. “What kinds of animals have you cared for?”
“Mostly dogs and cats. When I worked at Animal Kingdom, I had a chance to work with all types.”
“What brought you down here?” Adrian asked.
“It was… A number of things brought about the relocation.” She didn’t explain.
Maybe she moved with a boyfriend and it didn’t work out. He wasn’t going to press.
“I just love this room,” Cynthia said, changing the subject as she gazed out toward the ocean. “It’s still quiet, but on busy nights, this room is full of guests. You usually won’t see couples or groups having sex out here, just touching, sometimes getting naked. Hard core stuff goes on in the rooms.”
“Has anyone explained the rules yet?” Carter asked Emma.
     “Not completely.”
“An open door is an invitation to watch,” Adrian offered. “Those playing inside a room must invite you in. Guests can’t just waltz in during a group scene. It’s rather rude and you’ll probably get thrown out. If there are enough complaints, a guest can be asked to leave the club.” He watched her expression. A Dom could pick up the smallest telltales. He focused his attention on her soft, hazel eyes. She was looking at him and around the room, alert, taking in every detail. The muscles in her jaw and long neck were relaxed but she gripped the strap of her purse with a tight fist.
Adrian had numerous encounters in here over the years. Eager subs anxiously anticipating a scene. Could she be his next eager sub? Or was she a newbie who thought she might like bondage only to freak out the moment she had to give up a little control. That was the disadvantage of taking on a new submissive.
“Dark Odyssey was overdue,” Carter explained to Emma. “The one semi-bondage room with restraint table and swing was very popular. Patrons kept requesting more rooms with better bondage equipment.” He pointed the way toward a long hallway where the old playrooms were. He described the rules—how no, meant no. If any guest approached her and she told him no and was still pressured, then tell one of the guys in the black TropiX T–shirts.
Adrian stood beside her. “You’re not saying much?”
She jumped and looked up at him. “I’m taking it all in. This is new for me.”
“Adrian!” A woman called from across the room. It took him a moment but he recognized the voice.       Every muscle in his body tensed. If he had known she would be here, he wouldn’t have come.
Jill strutted across the room in killer platform heels and a slinky silvery-white dress that was practically see–through. Her brown hair was longer since he’d seen her last, pulled back from her shoulders. More of her breasts hung out of the dress than were contained. Her rosy areolas showed through the flimsy material. Sliding between Adrian and Emma, her back rudely facing Emma, she put her arms around him and kissed him. “I’ve missed you, Master. So glad to see you’re back. Will you take me to Dark Odyssey this evening?” She lowered her head and slid her hands down his chest.
Grasping her hands, Adrian gently pulled them away. “Good to see you, Jill. I’m with friends this evening.” He stepped back to introduce Emma, Cynthia and Carter.
Jill gave Emma a quick up-and-down glance and apparently decided she wasn’t competition. “Would you like me to give you all a tour of Dark Odyssey?” She hooked arms with Adrian.
“Thanks, Jill, but Cynthia and Carter will be giving us a tour.” He knew how possessive and needy she could be and he didn’t want to get into that now.
Jill’s expression hardened with a forced smile. “Enjoy the tour. I’ll talk to you later, Adrian. I’ll be down here for a while unless I meet someone.”
“Have a good evening,” he said. The others, including Emma said goodbye.
Across the room, two men and a woman on one of the sofas fondled one another. The men groped her breasts and between her legs. A second later, her blouse was off and one man sucked her nipples. The woman had her hand down one guy’s pants while kissing the other man. Adrian noticed Emma watched them with parted lips.
“Anything appeal to you? Or offend?” Adrian asked.
“I like the openness and sensual atmosphere,” she said. “I feel safe. I’m not sure if I’d get into the group thing. Although, I can’t say I wouldn’t try it. But what always interested me was bondage. I don’t claim to understand it, but I’m intrigued by it.” She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. Her hands were grasped tightly together.
Adrian noticed everything. A twitch of a muscle was a clue when he was pushing his partner toward her limit. Emma had the most expressive eyes, sensual and innocent, but defiant too.
His groin tightened again and he clenched his teeth. It had been too long since he fucked a sweet sub, drew every ounce of pleasure from her until she moaned in ecstasy. To have a sub willing to surrender, willing to allow him to push her beyond her limits was what he needed badly. Could he have a woman in a vanilla-only relationship? “You have a question? You look confused. Have you not seen a ménage before?”
“I’ve not watched one before. I was wondering if a Dom has more than one submissive?”
He smiled. “Depends whether he wants to be exclusive or not.”
“We’ll show you Dark Odyssey before it gets crowded,” Cynthia said.

#TheLustyView – Secrets of an Erotica Writer

Warning: This is an online Sex Column talking about…SEX! The wild, provocative, arousing world of sex and the many aspects it entails. If that offends you, please move on. And please at least 18 years old! What will you find on The Lusty View? Often naughty, sometimes bizarre talk about everything SEX—extraordinary, kinky, dark and edgy, light and fun, and everything in between. With guest interviews and articles by erotic authors and experts, new erotic book releases, and perhaps a few other topics that turn me on!

This column is the beginning of what I hope will be a long-running series of articles dedicated to inform, entertain, shock, humor and maybe even turn you on. Before I became a writer of erotic fiction, I was a stringer for a newspaper, writing rather dull articles about town meeting, property debates, local current events and such. Writing about sex is much more stimulating (hmmm) and fun. In my fiction I write about alternative lifestyles, BDSM, ménage, otherworldly sex and more.

Sexually adventurous co-worker
I’m surprised how eager people are to share the intimate details of their sex lives when they discover I’m an author of erotica and erotic romance. Years ago, even before I wrote erotic fiction, a coworker described in explicit details his carnal adventures with all his men. It sure made the evening and night shifts entertaining. Where did he have sex? Back rooms of gay clubs, the men’s rooms, dressing rooms, the beach, an alley, etc. I should’ve taken notes. I could’ve started my career writing M/M erotica with a never ending supply of scenarios.

It’s the typical question, most erotic writers get this. I was asked this at a recent book signing in Barnes & Noble. And the question usually comes from men: Have I done everything in my books? Yes and no.

Every character in my books, male and female, has some essence of me. How could they not when I’ve created them? Did I have a ménage with a space captain and a shapeshifting dragon on planet Somerled? Ah, no. As for the rest, I’ll leave up to the readers to guess, preferably to forget about, and enjoy the story as it’s written.

Dom in Training
I do love when people share their sex stories. It gets my created juices flowing. J A few months ago at a party a gentlemen I never met before said he heard I wrote books about BDSM. He told his story about how he became a Dom. When he first met his wife he wasn’t in the lifestyle and had never explored a D/s (dominate/submissive) relationship. She was an experienced submissive and felt he would make a great Dom if he was willing to learn.

I then noticed the discreet choker collar she wore. I asked what she saw in him that made her believe he had the potential to be a Dom? He said he’d asked her the same question. His wife felt he was a strong person, caring, sensitive and attentive to her. All wonderful traits for a loving Dom. Together they arranged to meet with a Dom willing to mentor him—them both, so he could learn the power exchange and techniques of BDSM. She was quite a sensitive and patient submissive to see that potential in her vanilla lover.

Do you have a story to share? Or would you like to be interviewed? These can be strictly anonymous if you prefer. I’d especially like to hear from authors of erotic fiction, experts, exotic dancers, porn actors, Dom/Domme those in the lifestyle and those who are paid for their services, people with particular fetishes, and more. I’d love to hear from you at kathykulig(at)rcn(dot)com.

A Writer’s Journey Through the BDSM Lifestyle with Desiree Holt #BDSM #HOTRead #Eroticromance

By guest author Desiree Holt.

I can’t tell you how many times people ask me why so many of my books involve the BDSM lifestyle. I don’t think the answers I give them are quite what they are looking for. No, I was never in the lifestyle—exactly (damn it!). And I have limited personal experience. In fact, I knew very little about it when it first captured my attention. In 2006 I was fortunate enough to read two books by the incredible Joey Hill—The Ice Queen and Mirror of My Soul. I was a fledgling author at the time but I thought to myself that this—this!—was the kind of book I wanted to write.
CONTEST: DESIREE IS GIVING AWAY A $25 GIFT CARD to a random person who leaves a comment and email addy here.
I began to research the subject, primarily on the Internet, and discovered a number of places where I could interact with people. Among them is Fetlife, where I found that as long as I was upfront with people about who I was and what I wanted, most people were great about answering my questions.
I was amazed at the things I discovered.
First and foremost is a very important truth about a D/s relationship—it’s the only one built completely on trust. In no other situation does one partner have to place one hundred percent trust in the other to make it work. D/s is about a lot more than the pain, the punishment, the submission. It’s about an exchange of power where each partner is willing to strip himself or herself bare for the other and believe that trust will not be abused.
That’s a powerful, powerful situation.
Rodeo Heat So when I began including BDSM in my books I focused on that aspect of the lifestyle. My Ellora’s Cave book, Rodeo Heat (which won The Romance Studio Award for Best BDSM Book of the Year), seemed the perfect place to launch this new phase of my writing. Grace, my heroine, is 42. She’s been a widow for 20 years. Her entire life has been in emotional lockdown as she raised her children and made a career for herself. Ben is ten years younger chronologically but years older emotionally. As a rodeo rider he’s lived a hard life. Grace touches him in a place he’s never opened to anyone before.
He is also a dedicated Dom.
When he takes Grace on her journey of sexual awakening, along the he introduces her to the D/s lifestyle, one aspect at a time. And as Grace learns to trust him, whether he’s spanking her or feeding her with his hands, she is shocked to discover the fulfillment in domination. By the end of the book it is the firm foundation on which their future is built. You’ll find this same theme repeated in all my books built around BDSM.
I was curious about all aspects of a D/s relationship. How do you separate the good from the bad? Last year when I visited a local dungeon I was able to ask a lot of questions about that and the risks involved for a neophyte. The Doms in attendance were totally honest with me and freely answered all my questions. The material I gathered became the framework for a story about an initiated sub who is introduced to the lifestyle by a man who is essentially cruel. Not a true Dom.
Something Wicked This Way Comes Volume 1 Dangerous Addiction, a short Ellora’s Cave novella, is about a woman who was seduced into the lifestyle by a man who was both power-hungry and cruel. Not representative of an appropriate Dom at all. Did not believe in the power exchange and abused the trust of the neophyte sub. Trapped in the web he weaves for her, she is freed only with the help of a friend who sees the relationship as pure emotional abuse. She meets another Dom—experienced, loving, caring—all the things a Dom should be—and tentatively begins a relationship with him, although her prior situation still haunts her.
My wonderful editor, Kelli Collins, urged me to write a sequel to this, so early in 2014 EC will release the full-length Beyond Addiction. This book, with a great deal of input from the local BDSM community, explores all sides of a BDSM partnership. What each level means. The stimulation of pain and the pleasure of punishment when it’s administered properly. The willingness to submit when the sub understands the Dom\me truly cares for him\her.
In this book my heroine is thrown back into contact with the original Dom and is forced to take risks to fight the sick addiction she still feels. The book is often harsh because it shows what happens when the dominant partner ignores or refuses to acknowledge the cardinal rule: SSC—Safe, Sane, and Consensual.
Submission is a gift and should be appreciated.
In Beyond Addiction Fallon, my heroine, is finally able to realize how unhealthy and brutal the situation really is. And what a good, loving D/s relationship is. She finally makes a conscious choice to reach out to the Dom who loves her.
Not everyone begins living the life at an early age. Many come to it later in life. I often worry that people who read about BDSM in my books will develop false illusions about the lifestyle and find themselves in dangerous situations. I wrote this book to show what can happen in a situation like that and to urge them to make the proper choices.
I want my readers to understand that BDSM is a complicated lifestyle, whether you enjoy it for an hour of playtime or as a routine for life. The emotion is intense, communication is essential, and respect is key. If you understand that, this is an extremely rewarding adventure.

Will I continue to write more about this? Absolutely. And I will continue to study it so I can bring you a true picture of it. I hope you’ll join me for the journey my many characters take.

Please check out Desiree's website and blog and if you'd like to be included in the drawing for the $25 Gift Card, please leave a comment and your email address.

Desiree, thank you so much for being a guest. I loved this article about BDSM. You gave such a clear and easy to understand explanation of the lifestyle, and obviously you incorporate what you've learned into your books. That's what makes them so great. After reading a number of books, including those by Joey Hill, I too, became curious about the lifestyle and wanted to write these themes into my stories. But it took a lot of research and more reading, even visiting a BDSM club in NY City before I began writing with more confidence. Thanks again for sharing your insight.
